Look what’s new from House Industries! An Alexandar Girard line of typefaces and merchandise. Exciting!
I picked up some of his folk-style nativity scene Christmas cards when I was visiting the International Museum of Folk Art in Santa Fe in New Mexico, where he was a curator. They were so beautiful in fact, I had a hard time sending them all out. I still have one or two in my card collection about five years later! I didn’t realize that Girard collected navitivy scenes himself, though you can even purcahse one he designed (along with toys, blocks, dolls and t-shirts)!
