Child S.H.A.R.E. was in need of a fined tuned homepage user interface, and wanted to tie in specific visuals and typographic treatments I had developed for a recent print design collateral. Working with a central java player with rotating images, I reduced clutter by giving links a clear hierarchy and visually intuitive interfaces. With content easier to scan, users are quickly able to find relevant information.

Fuller Theological Seminary is the largest Evangelical Christian seminary in the world, and is known for its cutting edge theological thought and cultural engagement. Because of my experience with photography, I was asked to create web collages from a database of existing photos for their website’s homepage and subpages. These layered Photoshop collages, then animated in flash, give a dynamic encounter with the Fuller brand at www.fuller.edu.

Campaign development, Identity, and Publication Design

Working with All Saints’ Episcopal Church, I helped develop the “Blessed to Belong” theme and designed the promotional materials leading up to the annual pledge drive for church giving. Rather than recounting the obligatory membership expectations (like giving), this campaign sought to remind the congregation of the blessings and benefits that come with membership in their community of faith: A chance to worship on Sunday, be a member of a small group, join a ministry, and make an annual pledge. Since it’s introduction, the campaign has surpassed the church’s expectations given the economic climate, already raising more in the first two weeks of the pledge drive than last year’s effort.

All Saints’ Episcopal Church in Beverly Hills recently finished a three year campus renovation, and wanted a virtual renovation of their site to match the efforts on campus. I partnered with Portnoy Media Group for a custom redesign with wordpress. In addition, exterior and interior signage as well as an updated business system to unite their new identity with online, environmental and print applications.

This identity redesign for the Brehm Center doubled as my masters thesis at Fuller Theological Seminary as I investigated the branding of faith based organizations. I was able to work with Fuller staff and faculty as a team to develop this red “stamp” identity for the Brehm Center, a hub of creative arts on campus.

This identity has alternating elements to meet these needs, yet consistent bold OSJ letters in all versions to build familiarity.
